Process

“To succeed, your brand needs a look, feel, and personality that defines and differentiates it from the competition. The visual and verbal messaging of your product, company, or service must result in what your audience can understand and identify with.”

—Mary F. Pisarkiewicz, MSI Founder and Chief Creative Officer

Branding starts with positioning. Defining your unique attributes and identifying your target audience is of the first order.

A multistep process follows, resulting in a strategic positioning concept: a short and clear description of your special value.

Positioning becomes the foundation upon which you build your reputation and image in the marketplace to guide all of your branding executions.

This is how MSI creates brand awareness and cohesion that takes businesses to the next level. We do so with our proprietary four-step process.

We’re not about to give away all our trade secrets here, but we will offer a preview of how MSI has helped more than 100 brands, products, and organizations – and hopefully yours as well – write success stories.

Step 1: Inform

MSI helps you relearn your business: what you have to offer, who you are,  the foundation of your personality, as well as where you see the future of your business.

To transform your brand, MSI casts a wide net for input from current customers and the ones who got away, your employees, former staff members, and vendors. Next, we encourage you to listen to what’s said, especially the parts you may not want to hear.

We immerse ourselves in your business. We do this to get you back in touch with every aspect of the day-to-day. This is how we can give you new insight.

Step 2: Inspire

Our detailed analysis inspires new perspectives.

Integral to this phase is understanding that consumers and their circumstances change.

MSI reintroduces you to your target audience, focusing on its current needs and wants via demographics, psychographics, and media.

We then help you set new goals for your brand and pinpoint the tools to develop your unique messaging that is understandable, unmistakable, and irresistible.

Step 3: Explore

Idea time.

In this phase, we believe that design is key in translating the foundation and essence of your brand into unique and memorable visual and verbal messaging concepts. These executions may include renaming, rebranding (including logo design, color palette, and supporting fonts), and carefully crafted, on-target communications.

Step 4: Realize

The moment when MSI shows you results, as seen by

  • Urban Express, which we rebranded and launched as UX Specialized Logistics that achieved a 47% revenue growth within 20 months and led to it being acquired by XPO Logistics, one of the largest LTL freight providers in North America.

  • Loacker International in the USA, which, because of our unique marketing executions and advertising, had a 38% increase in brand awareness in the initial target areas in the first 6 months.

  • The Brooklyn Public Library, which, thanks to our marketing strategies, saw a 31% increase in computer sessions and a 33% increase in overall program enrollment.

  • Zdenek Financial Services, which MSI rebranded as Traust Sollus, went on to experience a 24% increase in business in its first seven months before being acquired by Mercer Advisers, the #1-ranked RIA Firm in the nation.

  • Empire Valuation Consultants, following our rebranding efforts, realized a 30% increase in sales and an 11% increase in average assignment size in the first year, with a 24% increase in the second year.
